My Savior

Thoughts swim around in my head.

Memories beat against my skull whipping around like a hurricane.

Anxiety creeps in the corner waiting to attack.

SAVE ME. I scream and cry.

But does anyone hear?

I need help. I need a savior.

When I am all alone, backed into a corner, with nowhere to run,

I feel a tap on my heart.

He was standing next to me all along.

Take my hand He says.

As I reach forward and grasp it tight

I feel a rush of warmth and see a light.

Not from my surroundings but from deep inside my soul.

God shines bright inside of me as a reminder,

That no matter how big the mountains or how dark the world may be,

He is always with me.

Healer of Hearts

In those times you feel that your heart is tearing apart on the inside,

On the inside where no one can see,

There is one who can see.

He can see the pain behind the mask.

He sees through the fake smile, right into your soul.

Cry out His name.

Creator of the Heavens and earth:

God, Lord, Father, Yahweh, Emmanuel.

When your heart is tearing apart, He can hold it together.

When you cannot handle life, seek rescue in His loving embrace.

He blesses you with love and peace.

He gives you exactly what you need.

When you are on your knees crying and wishing you could change the past,

Remember that you still have a future,

And it is bright with healing and happiness through Christ.

Burning Flame of Desire

There is a fire burning behind these eyes.

A fire that cannot be caged.

Fire spreads fast.

It can kill

but it can also bring souls back to life.

It can melt a heart of ice.

It can bring passion back into a lifeless soul.

Spread that fire for good and not evil.

Let God's love burn in your heart and light you up for the world to see.

God burns inside me.

He is a fire that will never go out.
